a 1980s aged shou pu’er tea

100g

a hum from the roots of something archaic is a curiously profound Shou pu’er from the 1980s. Grounding, clearing and expanding with a gracious yin cha qi.

Its age lends to the grandeur of this tea, bringing forward the more nuanced qualities of what lighter piled shou pu’ers of this era were capable of expressing.

during this era of production, shou pu’er was oftened piled lighter, meaning there was significantly more space for the leaves to be influenced by the processing of aging and fermentation. this gives room for more complexity, as well as a nice cooling after thought not often found in shou.

the complexities and clarity in the tea, coupled with such good storage coverts this as one of the cleanest shou pu’er teas we’ve  ever tried.
