This is the 2022 vintage of our flagship oolong tea.

The Gentle Emptiness is a Vietnamese adaption of the acclaimed Taiwanese Eastern Beauty oolong tea.

Akin to the mountains of Beipu, in Hoa Binh Province of Northern Vietnam, the tea trees are prone to attracting leafhoppers whose bite and saliva start oxidising the leaves, producing a strong sweetness in taste and aroma, before even being picked. The leaves are then harvested and hand processed with high oxidation in mind, whilst still staying within the parameters of oolong tea.

The Gentle Emptiness captures the brilliant vibrancy of classic Eastern Beauty teas in amalgamation with the profound energetics of the material sourced from their teacher’s private tea garden.

To ensure quality control and no chemical intervention, our friends work exclusively with the same four families to acquire raw material from their surrounding environment each year, whilst also harvesting from the old trees on their own land.
